This programme is designed to focus on the value of using electrotherapies in practice. Sessions will be delivered and directed by experienced educators
The sessions in the morning will incorporate formal ‘teaching on the key issues (benefits, safety and scientific basis’ but will also generate discussion and sharing of knowledge and experience. As such it will include active participation by delegates along with the key lectures.
The session on clinical evidence will be run by Dr David Somerville, author of a series of books on the underpinning science of electrotherapies. This will include theory as well as scientific demonstrations.
The afternoon practical workshop will be delivered by well qualified veterinary physiotherapists experienced with working with horses and dogs. This session will allow you to learn about selecting suitable equipment, how to work with the animal and owner in applying it and discuss the importance of integrating use of equipment as part of an overall package of care.

13.45 - 16.00. Selecting and applying practical workshop giving hands on experience with horses and dogs. The equine session will be directed by Gemma Woolley an experience veterinary physiotherapist who has an extensive equine practice.
The lead for the canine session has to be confirmed as yet but again will be a qualified veterinary physiotherapist.
